What We Believe
Calvary Community Church is an independent, non-denominational fellowship with foundational roots in the Full Gospel and Assembly of God theological tradition. We hold fast to the truths of Scripture while keeping our doors — and our hearts — wide open to everyone.
Who We Are
We are an independent, community-focused church that isn't tied to any single denomination — but we aren't without roots. Our theology grows out of the Full Gospel tradition, which means we believe in the whole message of Scripture: salvation by grace, the power of the Holy Spirit, divine healing, and the hope of Christ's return.
Whether you come from a Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Pentecostal, or no church background at all, you are welcome here. We believe that what unites us — faith in Jesus Christ — is far greater than any label that could divide us. Come as you are and grow with us.
Our Core Beliefs
The Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and life. It's not just a book we read — it's the living foundation we build our lives on.
📖 2 Timothy 3:16–17Salvation Through Jesus Christ
Salvation is a free gift of God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works, but by His finished work on the cross. You can't earn it, and you don't have to. It's already been paid for.
📖 Ephesians 2:8–9The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation, empowering believers for service and witness, with the evidence of speaking in tongues and the operation of spiritual gifts.
📖 Acts 2:4 · 1 Corinthians 12:4–11Divine Healing
God's healing power is available today through prayer and faith. Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, and by His stripes we are healed. We believe God still moves in miraculous ways.
📖 Isaiah 53:4–5 · James 5:14–15Water Baptism
We practice baptism by immersion in water as an outward declaration of an inward transformation — identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's a beautiful public step of faith.

We regularly observe Communion as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a celebration of our covenant relationship with Him. It's a sacred moment where we pause and remember what He has done for us.

We look forward with hope to the promised return of Jesus Christ — the blessed hope of the Church. This isn't something we fear; it's something we eagerly anticipate with joy.
